The boaters were rescued by Coast Guard crewmembers and good Samaritans, according to a news release.
The owner of the 54-foot cruiser yacht, called No Filter, said that a fire had broken out on board and all six mariners were abandoning ship, about three miles south of Ocean City.
Crewmembers from the fishing vessel Smugglers Point arrived and safely rescued all six people.
Coast Guard members arrived on scene shortly after and safely transferred five people back to the station; the owner stayed behind to help with salvage operations.
No one was injured, and all six boaters were wearing life jackets.
