Seven people were rescued from a boat fire in Ocean City early Sunday morning.
The Ocean City Fire Department responded to a call for a boat fire in the inlet against the south jetty at about 5:17 a.m., according to a department Facebook post.
The passengers were rescued by a civilian boat nearby. No injuries were reported.
The U.S. Coast Guard set up a perimeter around the boat and asked that all boats avoid the area.
