One person injured after boat fire at the Lake of the Ozarks - Lake of the Ozarks, MO

A Gravois Mills man was injured after a boat fire at the Lake of the Ozarks Thursday morning.
A Missouri State Highway Patrol incident report said the boat fire occurred around 9:44 a.m. at the 7.5 mile marker of the Gravois Arm at the lake. 
Jeffrey Bonnell, 53, was transported to Lake Regional Hospital for minor injuries, according to MSHP.
The fire was fuel related but not related to propulsion or the generator, MSHP said. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.

Fire crews respond to Wanchese boat fire - Wanchese, NC

Area fire crews were called to the scene of a commercial fishing boat fire in the area of the 4300 block of Mill Landing Road in Wanchese very early Sunday morning.
The Roanoke Island Volunteer Fire Department reports that at around 12:20 a.m. on January 23, 2022, the department received a dispatch for a boat on fire in Wanchese. Assistant Chief 17 arrived with heavy smoke showing from the boat, stated a release from RIVFD.
Engine companies from Manns Harbor Fire Department and Nags Head Fire Rescue were requested for assistance. Fire attack lines were placed into service and the fire was brought under control.
No injuries were reported. Units remained on scene for approximately three hours.

No one injured after boat fire in the Outer Banks, officials say - Wanchese, NC

Officials with the Roanoke Island Volunteer Fire Department in the Outer Banks responded to a boat that was on fire on January 23, according to a post. 
The boat, which was in Wanchese, had heavy smoke when firefighters arrived around 12:20 a.m. With the assistance of Nags Head Fire Rescue and the Manns Harbor Fire Department, the fire was brought under control. 
Multiple units were on the scene for three hours dealing with the flames. 
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire was not released.

Boat explosion in Englewood injures one man - Englewood, FL

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission reported that a man was seriously burned after an explosion and fire aboard a boat as it was leaving dock at Indian Mound Park in Englewood Saturday.
The 44-year-old man operating the boat, who wasn't identified, sustained significant burns and was taken for treatment to Tampa General Hospital, FWC regional public information director Melody Kilborn said in a statement Sunday. The severity of his injuries weren't known, she said, but six other passengers were unharmed.
The explosion occurred about 12:15 p.m. Saturday off the park in south Sarasota County. The 24-foot vessel with seven people aboard was preparing to leave dock when, shortly after the engine was started, an explosion occurred, the FWC reported.
Englewood Fire Rescue, the Sarasota and Charlotte County Sheriff’s Offices, the Florida State Fire Marshall and FWC responded to the scene.

2 rescued from boat fire off Fort Myers Beach - Fort Meyers Beach, FL

Coast Guard officials rescued two people after their vessel caught fire Saturday night about 28 miles off the coast of Fort Myers Beach.
According to the Coast Guard's account of the incident, a call for help came just after 8 p.m. Saturday from the captain of the Jenna Dawn, a fishing vessel.
The captain activated his emergency position indicating radio beacon to mark the vessel’s location. A Coast Guard helicopter rescue crew was sent to the area and successfully took the captain and one other man from the burning craft.
The men were treated by emergency personnel at Fort Myers Beach High School. No major injuries were reported.
It is not clear what sparked the fire.
