One injured, 10 boats destroyed in marina fire - Dover, TN

Sunday's fire at the Leatherwood Marina injured one, sending him to the hospital for burns, and damaged ten boats in total.
According to a release from Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, the houseboat fire at the marina on Kentucky Lake led to a man being airlifted to Vanderbilt for treatment of burns to his legs.
The exact cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
Monday, the thoughts of many in the community were on the man who was burned.
Many days, you'll find Scott Walin stopping by the Miss Kay's store. He often visits with his friend Carney West.
"We just have us a good ole talk," said West. "We ask how you're doing, give each other a hug. Scott's a fine man."
West believes working along Kentucky Lake in Dover just bonds people in good times and hard times. It has been a hard two days.
"It was pretty rough," said West, referring to Walin being burned in the marina fire. "Breaks your heart to see something like that, especially when these people are trying awful hard to make something of this community."
West said what matters to her is Walin is okay, with the family posting pictures on Facebook of him smiling in his hospital bed.
West is looking forward to the day Walin will walk in for one of their chats again.
"Tragic things happen to all of us," said West. "You have to pick up the pieces and keep on going. God was with him or he wouldn't be with us today."
