Palm Beach County Fire Rescue and Jupiter Police are investigating a boat fire at the Square Grouper Boat Ramp in Jupiter.
The first calls came in just before 3 a.m. Tuesday.
The battalion chief said one boat was engulfed and it took about 20 minutes to put out the flames. Other boats had to be moved so the fire did not spread.
"If we wouldn't have gotten the call when we did, there's always the possibility that it could have spread to other vessels," said battalion chief, Phillip Olavarria.
However, a neighboring boat suffered some minor damage.
“My windows got shattered, paint got blistered, luckily it didn’t catch on fire," said Howard Tuttle, boater and fisherman.
"It’s really scary I mean that’s my livelihood that’s how I support my family," he added.
No one was on the boat or injured, according to officials.
The boat is being considered a total loss.

Two people were saved after their boat caught fire and began taking on water just miles off the coast of Bulls Bay early Friday morning.
The captain of the vessel, named Strictly Business, called for assistance just after 4:00 a.m., saying his 45-foot fishing boat was on fire and taking on water, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
They say the captain activated his Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon and switched to his satellite phone after losing communication on his VHF radio.
Rescue crew took the men to Coast Guard Station Charleston where EMS treated them on the scene.
“Everyone involved is extremely thankful a worst-case scenario turned out to be a successful mission thanks to the mariners being well prepared and the quick response of our boat crew from Station Charleston,” said Senior Chief Petty Officer Bradley Derflinger, command center supervisor, Sector Charleston. “The Coast Guard urges all mariners to outfit their vessel with an abundance of safety and communication equipment because it could very well save you or a family member’s life.”

OC Charter Boat Destroyed In Fire - Ocean City, MD

Local sportfishing boat Last Call caught fire in the Inlet early last weekend, but all on board were safely removed.
Around 5:15 a.m. last Sunday, the Ocean City Fire Department responded to the south jetty of the Ocean City Inlet for a reported boat fire. It was determined the burning boat had just set out for a Sunday offshore charter.
At the time of the fire, there were seven passengers aboard the vessel. All passengers were rescued by a civilian boat in the area and no injuries were reported. The U.S. Coast Guard set up a perimeter around the burning vessel. The Ocean City Fire Department deployed a fire boat and dumped water on the vessel but the boat was destroyed by the blaze. This week, Last Call charters posted a statement about the incident on social media.
“Unfortunately, the boat is a total loss. We feel very fortunate that our customers and crew all made it off the vessel safely,” the social media statement read. “We would like to thank everyone who helped us through this terrible time — the United States Coast Guard, the Maryland Natural Resources Police, the Ocean City Fire Department, Rob Copenhaver and his crew with Towboat US and last, but not least, the crew of the boat Obsession that came to our aid. Thank you. And one final thank you to all of our charter clients. You made it possible to keep our charter business running for nearly 40 years.”
