Firefighters quickly doused the blaze from a rescue boat, preventing it from spreading to any other vessels at the fueling dock, said Long Beach Fire Department spokesman Brian Fisk.
The boat was being supplied with 160 gallons of fuel before the fire broke out about 1 p.m., Fisk said
“We don’t know how it started, the cause is under investigation,” he said.
The dock was not damaged, Fisk said.
