Two people and a dog are safe after their 20-foot boat caught fire off Captiva near Cayo Costa.
The United States Coast Guard, Florida Fish and Wildlife were among the agencies that were on scene.
Once the fire was out, the boat was towed to a trailer at the Charlotte Harbor TowBoat dock and eventually back to the owner's home.
TowBoat says the vessel is pretty much ruined, banged up and charred. They also say it was taking on a lot of water as it was being towed back.
