Crews battled a house boat fire in Kent Island Tuesday morning.
Maryland Natural Resources police said they, along with various volunteer fire department units, responded around 9:30 a.m. to the Castle Harbor Marina in Chester to reports of a fire.
AdvertisementCrews arrived and encountered a 50-foot house boat, tied up at the marina and engulfed in flames.
Firefighters have gotten an upper hand on the fire and are dousing remaining hot spots.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
