Emergency crews are responding to a boat fire on the Ohio River.
MetroSafe confirmed the fire was reported around 8 p.m. Sunday near the Sherman Minton Bridge.
AdvertisementNew Albany Fire Department Battalion Chief David Sparks said boaters called 911 and stated they were having engine trouble and there was a fire on board their boat.
The boaters beached the boat on the Kentucky side of the river and were able to exit.
No injuries were reported.
Fire crews from Louisville, New Albany and Clarksville assisted in the operation.
