Explosion destroys boat at Saylorville Lake, fire department says - Des Moines, IA

The Johnston Fire Department confirmed to KCCI Monday that a boat exploded at Saylorville Lake.
According to the fire department, the explosion occurred around 4:30 p.m. in an area commonly known as Party Cove.

Johnston officials said the boat was destroyed. It is not yet clear what caused the explosion.
