Emergency personnel rescued two individuals from a vessel on fire in the Ambrose Channel, where the New York and New Jersey borders lay.
The call came in at 1:08 p.m., for a report of a vessel fire in Gravesend Bay, an FDNY spokesperson stated.
The fire was quickly put out, and two individuals were being transported to Gateway Marina.
The FDNY spokesperson stated one was being evaluated and treated en route to the marina.
Marine units were deployed for the rescue and at the scene, the spokesperson stated.
