Hamilton County Emergency Management says the fire broke out on the 2500 block of Stonesage Road at about 2:30 a.m.
Crews responded to reports of an explosion. Deputies with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office were the first on the scene and reported the fire.
Soon after, Sequoyah Volunteer Fire Department crews arrived. and quickly went to work getting to the fire and establishing a water supply to the dock,
Firefighters brought the fire under control and asked the Hamilton County Hazmat Team to see if a boat that was burning had spilled or leaked any fuel. It was determined that the fuel burned off during the fire, and no further action was needed from Hazmat Team.
The fire caused an estimated $60,000 in damage. No one was hurt.
The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency was notified of the fire since it happened on the water.
