Emergency crews responded to a shrimp boat fire in McClellanville on Friday.
According to Awendaw-McClellanville Fire District, crews responded to Water Street just before 12:30 p.m. for the fire on the Lila Roo.
Fire Chief Michael Bowers said one person was on board doing maintenance work at the time fire, no injuries were reported.The fire is out and an investigator is working to determine the cause. There was heavy damage to the galley.
