Firefighters were able to contain a fire onboard a sailboat at the Long Beach Harbor Thursday. No one was hurt, and there was no major damage caused to any other boats.
Fire Chief Griff Skellie said the case is still under investigation, but it doesn’t appear to be suspicious. He said the owner had been working on the boat, but it’s not clear if that work had anything to do with what sparked the blaze.
