Five boaters were rescued by a good Samaritan who spotted their 32-foot craft on fire in Boston Harbor last night and sped over to help.
The U.S. Coast Guard and the Boston Fire Department quickly responded to the scene at Hull Gut.
“They could see the fire from the station,” a Coast Guard spokeswoman said of the responders from Station Point Allerton that is also located in Hull Gut.
All five people were pulled off the boat by a fellow boater who came to the rescue at about 7:10 p.m., according to the Coast Guard. No injuries were reported and they were all brought to a nearby wharf.
