A shrimp boat burst into flames Thursday morning near Fort Pike State Historic Site
in New Orleans.
One person was rescued from the boat.
Kirk Jacobs, Chief Fort Pike Volunteer Fire Department, said the person rescued was the only one on the boat.
The Coast Guard also responded to the fire.
