One man was airlifted to the hospital following a boat fire Wednesday afternoon.
The fire happened in the 2100 block of E. Kendall Circle.
Crews were called just before 3:45 p.m.
According to the Battalion Chief on scene, two men were hurt in the fire, one seriously burned. That man was airlifted to a local area hospital with significant burn injuries. The other victim suffered minor injuries.
Crews are currently working on putting the fire out. There no word on the cause of the fire at this time.
Drivers in the area of Shore Drive near Fire Station 1 are asked to take alternate routes.
A detour will be put into place for nearly a half hour.
