A person was taken to the hospital Sunday afternoon after authorities responded to a boat fire in the township, State Police said.
Officials responded to the fire at 1:39 p.m. off West Shrewsbury Drive, State Trooper Lawrence Peele said. The blaze has since been put out, Peele said at about 4 p.m.
The unidentified person was taken to the Southern Ocean Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, he said.
Authorities are still on scene and the cause of the fire is under investigation, the state trooper said.
