South Kitsap Fire and Rescue crews quickly extinguished a fully involved fire aboard a pleasure craft at the Long Lake boat launch on the evening of June 23 that injured a person on board.
A spokesperson for SKFR said the injured person was taken by crews to a regional trauma center with undisclosed injuries.
Just before being dispatched to Long Lake, crews had been dispatched to Bethel Road and Piperberry Way to douse a residential structure fire. No injuries were reported at the scene. The Kitsap County fire marshal is investigating the incident.
